Kinetic Butterfly

This kinetic butterfly sculpture was chosen to be a part of the 2020 Alberta University of Arts Show Off Art contest and show. It is made of wire, drift wood and nail polish which creates the stained glass effect between the wire on its wings. the butterfly sits on a wire pole that moves up and down when you turn the crank on the bottom, making the butterfly flutter its wings.

This ceramic sculpture was a part of the Art Gallery of Alberta, 2023 Boreal Barometer: The art of observation and well-being. This sculpture represents us and our homes, through memories and lessons, a place or our people. We all carry memories that make us who we are which is what we all put into our homes whether we do it intentionally or not.

To Touch Again

11' x 10'. lino carved, ink print. 2022

To Touch Again' is a lino cut print. It was a part of the Time Stamp; Art exposition which included artist works from the Sapporo Otani University in Sapporo in Japan, Alberta University of Arts, and Portage College.This art piece is about common relief and a time when we will be able to touch again. This image is of a young hand holding an elderly hand. During this COVID-19 era we're unable to express love or care through touch,” said Lamoureux, “Whether its shaking hands with our neighbours, hugging our loved ones or holding their hand, it will truly be a relief to be able to touch again.
